Happy New Year from your friends at Nine Virtual Technologies! We are excited about the new offerings we have in store for our clients in 2017. Our first announcement is we are now rolling out Windows Server 2016 to replace our existing Windows Server Infrastructure. After a few months of testing, we are now actively implementing Windows Server 2016. This is the latest offering from Microsoft. When requested, Nine Virtual Technologies will offer this to new and existing customers. The desktop interface in Windows Server 2016 matches that of Windows 10.

In Q1, we will be rolling out the latest version of VMware vCenter 6.5. The most exciting feature of this new offering is the ability to encrypt virtual machines. This is especially exciting for our current and future healthcare clients. Being able to encrypt the entire virtual machine mean you are now above current HIPPA requirements.

Lastly, We recently upgraded our VMware Horizon remote desktop environment. The latest feature is Skype for Business video redirection is fully supported without the need for Microsoft’s VDI plugin. Customers can now enjoy an immersive video conferencing experience thru their remote desktops!
